GRACE IS NOT FAIR.

Happy new month friends. I decided to post this on the first day of the month, I'm sure you must be wondering "Grace is not fair? What's wrong with this young man" sometime ago "faith doesn't make sense" now " Grace is not fair".
But come to think of this, in the natural we get rewards for everything we do be it good or bad, but God doesn't operate that way.
Isn't it amazing that a sinner in some seconds can be changed to an entire new being that never existed before (2cor5:17) the moment he gets born again. What's so amazing is the love of God for mankind that while we were yet sinners He sent his only and darling son to die for our sins. It is not Ideal or sound logical to pay the debt of someone who has hurt you so bad, yet God did.
Reading 2cor5:21, to the natural it is impossible for a righteous man to change his place and take the sins of man so that in Him sinners would become righteous yet Christ did that. In 2cor8:9 Christ became poor so that we would become rich Glory! What an awesome God!
The gospel of grace is so good but, it is true. The natural kind cannot understand this that is why so many people are bound and are searching hope and liberty in the wrong place.
The scripture says Abraham was declared righteous by God. But Abraham didn't always do the right things, he missed it atimes. He didn't always have the goody goody, holy kind of life yet God declared him righteous. After God promised him a son through Sarah, he laid with Hagar his wife's servant Gen16:1-16. Abraham denied his wife claiming she was his sister to Abimelech king of Gerar Gen20:1-18. So you see its outrageous to say Abraham was righteous. But Abraham found something, we are justified by faith in Gods grace apart from our works Rom4:1-5. So for anyone to do exploits and reign in life like Father Abraham we need to believe in the grace of God Rom5:17.
Some folks say people like Father Abraham and other great men of faith in the bible are God's favorite that's why they did great things and they are recorded in the Bible. The truth is God has no favorites He loves us all equally.
I like to illustrate the grace of God as a fountain or a stream though this fountain never goes dry. This fountain is for all mankind. Everyone has equal access to this fountain, it all depends on you to draw as much as you can from this fountain. The grace of God is for all, its your faith in this grace that brings about the manifestation of the blessing. So we should not look at this great men of faith and wish "if God would love me like them I would be great". God loves you dearly and His grace is abundant.
The solution to all life's problem is in the grace of God, when you sick grace heals you 1peter2:24, when broke grace is your source 2cor8:9, when feeling guilty and sin conscious, rejoice because there's no condemnation glory! Rom8:1 and always be conscious of the grace of God that washes you spotless. As you become grace conscious sin shall have no power over you Rom6:14.
Grace is God's anointing, favor, ability, support, wisdom, it goes on and on its God's help and its a gift, it is what saves us and what we live by. with enough grace we can do anything, have anything and be anything.
Grace is Jesus Christ, let your eyes be constantly fixed on the lamb slain.
Remain blessed.

THE VALUE OF SPEAKING IN TONGUES.

Monday 7 July 2014

THE GIFT OF TONGUES.

PART 1.There has been so much misunderstanding concerning speaking with other tongues amongst those who don't speak and those who do because they know nothing or very little about the subject or they have wrong ideas about tongues. They don't realize the value derived from exercising the gift, nor do they understand the scope-the purpose and the use of tongues. As a result they take tongues out of its proper setting in the word.
I began studying the word on this line. I got a book 'Tongues; Beyond the upper Room' by Kenneth E. Hagin and I was greatly blessed after reading. I want to share with you the value, the scope, purpose and use of the gift of tongues in these series I'll be posting in the days to come.
* 4 COMMON OBJECTIONS TO SPEAKING IN TONGUES.
Here are some of the objections people have about the subject of tongues.
Objection #1: Jesus didn't speak in tongues so I don't have to either.
It's true tongues and interpretation did not operate in Jesus's earthly ministry although the other 7gifts of the Holy Spirit manifested. You won't also find speaking in tongues and interpretation of tongues in demonstration in the old testament (although you'll find this gift prophesied about in Isaiah 28:11-12). The gift of speaking in tongues and interpretation are distinct in the Holy Spirit dispensation which began with the outpouring of the Holy Ghost on the day of Pentecost in Acts2.
Jesus mentioned this new gift that God would give to his people under the new covenant mark16:17-18. Jesus declared that 5 supernatural signs are to follow believers and one of them is that "... they shall speak with new tongues"(vs17). All 5 signs mentioned in mark 16 are supernatural and Jesus didn't say a few will speak with other tongues but he clearly implied all believers should do so..
The number one reason amongst other personal reasons for not speaking in tongues is that there has been very little sound, logical and scriptural teaching as to the value of speaking with tongues.
Objection #2: Tongues are of the Devil.
Many folks believe in the gifts of the Holy Spirit but when it comes to speaking in tongues they say its of the devil. But the question is how can people get something from the devil that makes them better? If tongues is of the devil then even sinners would have utterance to speak. You only receive this gift when you get saved and filled with the Holy Ghost.
If tongues is of the devil, then so is our denomination. You must be thinking what I mean. Well the same Spirit we are acquainted with in our denomination, the same spirit who recreats our inner man and witnesses to our spirit that we are children of God is the same spirit that gives utterance in other tongues.There's only one Holy Ghost its identically the same spirit-just a different dimension. The moment you get filled you just experience a greater measure of the HolyGhost. Of course, our denominations are not of the devil and neither is tongues. Its all of the Holy Ghost. Speaking in tongues just opens you to a deeper dimension of the same Spirit. You can go deeper in God if you want to all you need to do is ask. Luke11:11-13.
Objection #3: Tongues have ceased.
Many folks say tongues have ceased and they quote 1Cor13:8 but the verse doesn't say tongues have ceased, it says tongues shall cease all future tenses.
These folks who forbid tongues according to this scripture will do well also to read 1Cor14:39." Wherefore brethren, covet to prophesy and forbid not to speak with tongues".
Objection #4: Only the Apostles could pray for people to receive the Baptism in the Holy Spirit.
Some people use Acts8:14-17 to prove that the baptism in the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues was only available for the early church as long as the original apostles were still alive. They hold to the argument that tongues ceased with the last Apostle, but that argument is not in line with the word. There are 5 instances in the book of Acts where people were filled with the Holy spirit and in one instance the person who ministered the baptism wasn't even an Apostle. I'm talking about 'a certain disciple at Damascus named Ananias.' (Acts9:10) who went to Saul of Tarsus and laid hands on him that he might be filled with the Holy Spirit.vs17. The word disciple means follower, a follower of the lord. This means Ananias was neither an Apostle, a Prophet, Pastor nor teacher. He was a layman directed by the Lord Jesus.
I believe God put this account in the bible because he knew we'd face this argument from some folks. Thank God for the word. Its so clear, concise and plain.
Always keep in mind, the closer we stay with the word of God the more correct we will be in whatever we do.

DOUBT, THE THIEF OF GOD'S BLESSINGS.

Mark 11:23,24 "for verily i say unto you, that whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed and be thou cast into the sea and shall NOT DOUBT IN HIS HEART, but believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass, he shall have whatsoever he saith. 24. Therefore, i say unto you what thing soever ye desire when ye pray believe that ye receive them and ye shall have them."
Notice the expression "... and shall not doubt in his heart...". The greatest enemy to faith is doubt and it always hinders the believer from receiving God's best. Looking through the scriptures, Matt 13:58 "and he (Jesus) did not many mighty works there BECAUSE OF THEIR UNBELIEF" matt14:22-31, matt17:14-20 and so on, you'll find in each instance doubt caused people to receive something less than the best God had for them and the Lord rebuked them for their doubt and unbelief.
God's highest and His best was for his disciple to receive by their own faith. But people say its okay to doubt once in a while. In matt 14:25 when the disciples saw Jesus walking on water they were afraid, in vs 28 Peter said "...Lord if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on water." Jesus said "come" and Peter began to walk on the water to go to Jesus. In vs 30 he began to sink because"...when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid...".
Peter sank because he got his eyes on circumstances. He began to see the things that were going on around him and lost focus. He quit looking at Jesus. He quit acting on what Jesus said.
Faith is acting upon the word of God. When Peter quit acting in faith on what God had said he began to sink. He did have some faith, but it carried him for a little while. Many a times we start out in faith, the miracle begins but it doesn't get consummated because we begin to look at circumstances or symptoms and loose sight of the saving grace Christ has.
Doubt and fear go hand in hand and they rob people of God's blessings and hinders the sick from getting healed. All that fear and doubt does is to cause one to see the impossibility of being saved, healed, and blessed. All you see at this point is the boisterous wind, the symptoms that won't go away, everything seems to be working not as planned, you've got bills piled up and can't get them paid and all sorts of problems. Your focus now is on your problems and loose sight of God. Some say "we've tried God's word and nothing is changing". You see faith is not trying the word, faith is acting the word. so quit trying and be a doer of the word. Use the authority in the Name of Jesus to bring to manifestation all that the word says.
Remove your eyes from all circumstances and focus on Christ. Let your eyes be constantly fixed on the lamb slain no matter how situations may seem, no matter the pain , the symptoms, Christ should be all you see. Faith is total dependence in Grace, then you've committed God to perform in your life.

THE PASSION OF CHRIST

It is good friday, the day our lord Jesus Christ was crucified. I looked through the gospels and read the various accounts of the passion, crucifixion and death of Jesus Christ and my eyes were open beyond what people normally believe to be the reason why christ died. Some say 'Christ died to save us from sin...' and they stop there. As i studied the word, i began to see that Christ's did more than just save us from sin.
Isaiah 53 talks about the passion and death of Christ, in vs10 "yes, it pleased the lord to bruise him..." how possible? yes! it pleased God to bruise his son cos when Jesus came he took the place of sinful man, The beautiful exchange. In Him all the sins of mankind He bore and God punished the sins of man in the body of Jesus.
All that happened was a type of what was going on in the spiritual. The crown of thorns placed on the head of Jesus signified that all the curses placed on man he took on himself thats why Gal3:13 "Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law being made a curse for us...". All the scourging, beatings, insults and spitting Christ endured signified he had recieved all the condemnations for man and the price for sin he paid. All the wounds and stripes he had was for all mankind to enjoy good health Isaiah53:5"... by his stripes we are healed". On the cross when he shed his blood, it was a sign that we have been saved from the wrath of God. Rom5:9 "much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him". His blood is a propitiation for our sins, his blood washes all mankind and presents us blameless before the father.
As Christ said "it is finished" all the penalty for the sins of you and I he paid. As he died the curtain of the temple was torn into half from top to bottom to signify that the veil, barrier hindering us from reaching the father was destroyed col1:13" who hath delivered us from the power of darkness and translated us into the kingdom of his dear son". Christ's death death gave us access to heaven, the veil was removed now we have boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus.
Christ died to conquer he that had the power of death, the devil and has freed all who through fear of death were subjected to bondage.
Christ has paid the price, there is no fear of death Glory!, no fear, he has paid for our good health, he has taken on him all our curses cos of his death we have been accepted.
God loves you dearly thats why he gave his very best best for us so we would become sons of his love.Rom 5:8" God commendeth his love towards us in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us".
I urge you all to take out time and fellowship with the Father and feel his love. Don't be too quick about it, enjoy it in the spirit of the finished works of his Son.

THE FOOLISHNESS OF FAITH

I was opportuned to minister to a group of students and during the meeting i said "faith doesn't make sense..." they are like "whats Daniel saying?" but it wasn't a thing of suprise cos people want to believe only what has proofs to back it up.
I want to share with you on the intellectual "foolishness" of faith. You will be able to see in very logical terms how "foolish" faith is. But very interestingly too, the foolishness of faith is the winning ticket in the race of life. Paul said in Romans 1:16, that he is not ashamed of the gospel. This is because some of its demands are things you could be ashamed of as they may appear like you're not rational ( to the natural man ). But paul said he's not ashamed of it, for inside that "foolishness" lies the power of God that is able to deliver results. As you understand the foolishness of faith you will be able to embrace faith with a sense of confidence in every injunction of scriptures.
There is that scattereth and yet increaseth and there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty. Proverbs 11:24.
For someone to be increasing when he's "losing" and then another that is keeping what he has is the one losing dosnt sound like good arithmetic but the foolishness of faith recomends that you believe that when you're scattering (giving your tithes, sowing seeds, offerings) you're increasing, when you withhold you decrease.
In the story of Lazarus being raised from the dead, when Jesus got there when he was told Lazarus was dead he said "Father i thank you". Father I thank you? Yes! God won't hear you until you thank him. It looks like foolishness because you don't say thank you until someone has done something for you or given you something but scripture is clear. Be careful for nothing but in everything by PRAYER and SUPPLICATION with THANKSGIVING let your request be made known unto God. Phil 4:6.
When the word of God says you are healed (1st Peter 2:24) and yet you feel pains and very sick, when the word says God has provided all your needs (phil4:19) and at that point you seem broke, when everything is going contrary to plans. To go with the word may seem foolish. Whatever God tells you to do no matter how crazy it may appear, believe it. When you do you've committed God to perform, you are bound to see what he has said come to pass. The foolishness of faith is the winning ticket in the race of life. Believe whatever the word says, don't rationalize it.
and blessed is she that believed for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord. Luke 1:45.

DON'T TRY GOD'S WORD - BELIEVE AND ACT ON IT.

God's word works for every one-if the person will only believe it-not try to believe. The word won't work if you just try it or hope it will work. No, its believing faith apart from physical circumstances that gets the job done. We walk by faith and not by sight when it comes to healing, an answer to prayers as well as recieving anything else from God.
In the natural, we do have to go by our senses-faith in your sight, faith in your smell or faith in your feelings that's why if you crossing the street and your eyes tell you there are cars coming, you need to have enough sense to wait for the cars to pass before you proceed to cross the street.
But you see, many people are trying to believe God with their physical senses or with natural human faith and if their physical senses tell them their prayers hasn't been answered, then they believe their physical senses instead of the word of God. But what do your physical senses have to do with the bible? God's word is so whether it looks like it is so or not. God's word is true regardless of your feelings. No matter the circumstance, God's word is true.
A great Preacher, Smith Wigglesworth said "i can't understand God by feelings, I can't understand the Lord Jesus Christ by feelings. I can understand God the Father and Jesus Christ by what the word says about them. God is everything the word said."
We can only get acquainted with the Lord Jesus Christ through meditation on the word.
As you study the word, your heart is enlarged to recieve all that God has in store for you, eventually your mind will be renewed with the word and light will come to you.

BLOOD FAVOR and WEALTH TRANSFER

This is an extract from my sermon notes from the just concluded Abuja Miracle and Healing Convention 2017, oh we had a great time and yea s...
